Te Kaha Stadium is being built here in Ōtautahi Christchurch and it is exciting for the whole community. Many local businesses have been involved and we were stoked to play our part.

We upgraded our horizontal test machine so we could prove the performance of the buckling restrained braces (BRBs) used for this project.

The BRBs for Te Kaha are some of the biggest ever used in Aotearoa New Zealand. Usually, parts that size are shipped to Asia for testing. Our team were able to upgrade one of our test machines to 900 tonnes of push/pull power!

This is a massive win because it increases local capability, allows shorter testing timelines and reduces environmental impact from unnecessary shipping.
